The GreenSneakers program provides other organizations with a uniquely effective and environmentally friendly fundraising opportunity that provides both local and global impact. The GreenSneakers program was developed out of a need identified by Crown Ministry Group, to help offset costs associated with various organizational development needs of non-profits.

Crown Ministry Group, a non-profit organization committed to serving the needs of others, developed and provides the GreenSneakers program to organizations requiring necessary funding to fullfil their mission and vision. At the same time, the GreenSneakers program makes it possible for Crown Ministry Group to provide low or no cost professional organizational development consulting services to other non-profits having needs in the areas of business development, information technology and systems, and marketing and communications.

Through the use of the GreenSneakers program, charities are able to raise the funds they require to meet local needs, all while helping support needs on a global scale through the reuse of collected sneakers as affordable footwear to people in need around the world. This activity greatly improves economic conditions in developing nations and provides sustainable job oportunities where they otherwise would not exist. In cases of great humanitarian need, collected sneakers are distributed through reputable relief agencies with the appropriate mechanisms in place to effectively engage in this level of aide.
